"It's hard for me to remember a time before I had to resort to stealing.

Well, that’s not entirely true. I remember the begging phase, too. Begging for food, money, a bed to sleep on, and to be accepted by an orphanage. Ever since mom died and our landlord kicked me out for not being able to pay, that’s all I’ve ever been able to do. But begging never worked, and, unsurprisingly, I switched to stealing.

Is it moral?

Is forcing a kid to live on the street for their entire teenage life because their only living parent dies moral?
